Contents: House says that stressing abstinence in sex education would be the only way to teach students how to avoid teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
Opponents to his bill say a comprehensive sex education program is a better way to teach this topic to students. Comprehensive sex education teaches students about birth control methods other than abstinence, such as how to use contraceptives.
