St. Charles senator, Steve Ehlmann, said he would love to sponsor legislation changing how Missouri defines "blighted" conditions.
This comes after a West County mall claimed that "blighted" factors made it eligible for thirty million dollars in tax subsidies.
Ehlmann said the General Assembly did not intend for tax money to be spent in wealthy areas.
Ehlmann also said new legislation should focus soley on tax financing, rather than broad economic development issues.
