Everybody hates junk mail and the Senate has taken a step to keep solicitors away from your mailbox.

Rod Petersen has the story from the State Capitol.

The Senate passed a bill that would keep your drivers license records and registrations from falling in the wrong hands.

Currently, personal information is available to solicitors that contact you by both the mail and phone.

Bill sponsor Danny Staples says the United States Congress has mandated that Missouri pass the legislation.
