Governor Mel Carnahan's office confirmed there will be no commuting of sentences for prisoners as a result of the influx of Missouri inmates formerly held in Texas prisons.
Tristin Yeager reports from the state capital.
In spite of moving more than 800 prisoners back to Missouri due to the Texas incident, the governor's spokesman Chris Sifford says Mel Carnahan is NOT considering commuting sentences:
The Missouri inmates imported from Texas will be held in seven different prisons throughout the state.
They'll be housed in tents, gymnasiums and other prison facilities for a minimum of four months.
