A victim of HIV speaks out in support of current legislation.
Beth Bentley has the story from Jefferson City.
Marva Miller is HIV positive. She told legislators her story Monday, with the hope that they'll pass a bill making it a criminal offense to knowingly transmit HIV.
Miller contracted the disease from her partner who knew he was HIV positive, but didn't tell her.
She says something needs to be done.
The measure is pending before the Senate Health and Welfare Committee.
