The House did away with a provision that would have provided indigent health care in St Louis.

In the House version of a sales tax bill, a provision that would have set up a sales tax to fund indigent health care in the St Louis area was thrown out.
Bill sponsor Representative Tom Hoppe of Kansas City said he would try to get the item put back on the bill.
The measure now goes to the Senate.
