Getting a driver's license in Missouri may become more expensive.
Missy Shelton has more from Jefferson City.
Missouri drivers now pay a dollar fifty to get a driver license but the House approved a measure that would raise the fee to two dollars and fifty cents by the year 2000.
The money goes to independant businesses that operate license offices.
Opposition came from Republicans like Representative Dave Broach who said the increase is too high.
The measure now goes to the Senate.
From Jefferson City, I'm Missy Shelton.
