Rod Petersen has more from the State Capitol.
Minority floor leader Steve Ehlmann appealed to freshman senator Sam Graves to not filibuster on a bill that would outlaw riding in the backs of trucks and also mandate that pick-ups have seatbelts.
Bill sponsor Harold Caskey agreed to lay his bill aside before he allowed Sam Graves to filibuster on the last day of the legislative session.
Senator Sam Graves who said that "one man with courage constitutes a majority" was arguing for his amendment that would require a safety inspection every two years instead of the annual inspection now required by law.
Reporting from the State Capitol, I'm Rod Petersen.
