A Missouri law maker proposes that the state should pay to relocate welfare recipients that can't find work.
Beth Bentley has the story from the state capitol.
Members of a house committee discussed a bill, Tuesday, that would require the state to pay for moving, housing, interviews, and job placement of welfare recipients that can't find work.
Bill sponsor Bill Boucher says the benefits were intended for those living in areas of Missouri where there are no jobs.
Boucher says the next step is to get the bill out of committee and onto the house floor for debate.
