Senator McKenna's bill came to committee after hours of testimony that began last week.
The committee heard a stream of opposition on the measure to increase the 500 dollar gambling limit currently in place on casino boats.
Among those opposing were ex gambling addicts and various political and city organizations.
McKenna says because of this opposition, he thinks his bill will not pass.
Those opposing the bill say they believe it will cause compulsive gambling to rise.

One ex gambler spoke against a bill to increase the gambling limit on casino river boats in a senate committee hearing.
The measure would increase the 500 dollar gambling limit that is currently in place on the boats.
Bard, an ex compulsive gambler who asked his last name be withheld, says he believes the bill would increase gambling problems.
Bill sponsor, Senate president pro tem, says he is not sure they have the votes to pass the measure.
