After three years of public service, the heads of Missouri's Health and Labor departments have resigned.
Kimberly Lohman reports from Jefferson City.
Health department director Dr. Coleen Kivlahan and Labor department head Sandy Moore have announced they are stepping down at the same time.
Spokespeople for both offices say both women want to go home -- Moore to St. Louis and Kivlahan to Columbia -- to spend more time with their families.
Governor spokesman Chris Sifford says the dual announcement is purely coincidental.
Sifford says the Governor is in no rush to rehire.
He says both department staffs are strong enough to hold down the forts until the two women are replaced.
