Two measures that would have placed candidates positions on legislative term limits on ballots failed to make the November ballot today.
As David Freitas (Fray-tus) tells us... there is controversy surrounding the failed measures.
Secretary of State Rebecca Cook announced that her office declared over a thousand signatures invalid on the petitions... alleging fradulent activity.
Cook says the fraud investigation started when an unnamed public official claimed his signature was on both petitions, when he had only signed one.
Cook also says that another petition had the signature of a women that died a decade ago.
So far the fraud investigation is centered on one circulator who has yet to be questioned.
Cook says that even with the thousand invalid signatures, the measures still would have failed.
