Let them grow hemp. That was the message sent by Missouri's senators when they passed a resolution with no debate. Conrad Jungmann has that story from the state capital:
The Senate overwhelmingly passed a resolution that will allow the University of Missouri to do studies on the commercial uses of hemp. Senator Jerry Howard, who sponsored the resolution says industrial hemp has many commercial uses and it could become Missouri's biggest cash crop.
If the resolution gets support from the House, it expresses the consent of the Missouri legislation, but does not have the effect of law. From Jefferson City, I'm Conrad Jungmann.
