A last gasp of death row inmate Doyle J. Williams has been denied. Brian Higgins has the story from Jefferson City.
Tonight at 12:01, Doyle J. Williams is scheduled to be executed by the state of Missouri. The U.S. Court of Appeals had granted Williams a stay of execution but this morning the United States Supreme Court lifted the stay. Attorney General Jay Nixon says Williams' time has come.
Nixon says that Williams is not an innocent man and that his case has gone on for too long. This would be the second execution in the state this year. From Jefferson City, I'm Brian Higgins.
