Although Griffin says his reputation has not been damaged by the investigation, he says he's never had a second thought about stepping down from a post he's held for 15 years.
Seven Democrats vying for Griffin's seat, and Griffin hasn't endorsed any of them.
As for why the meeting is closed to the press, Griffin says there is no law requiring it to be open.
